Abalone Cove Bluffs (Los Angeles County, California, US)plant community edge of bluff and terrace top, adjacent to a trailnotes This specimen keyed out to A. pacifica. Leaf and fruit size were well under range for A. coulteri. However, the base of this specimen seemed woody, like it may have been a biennial or perennial. Species description for A. pacifica states annual. But, since this specimen was found late in the season that might explain the woodiness or maybe some A. pacifica inds. actually do live longer than one season?photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
