  • location   BLM Cottonwood Canyon Area. Near Rangely (Rio Blanco County, Colorado, US)
  • notes   Pictographs created by Native Americans of the Barrier Canyon culture. These images reflect the late Barrier Canyon style and may be around 2000 years old. The pictographs are on BLM land. They are painted on the wall of a rock overhang along a small unnamed tributary of Cottonwood Creek. Local residents refer to the site as Moon Canyon (which is not recognized by map makers) or the Carrotmen Site.
