plant community Great Basin.desertspecies associated with this habitat: Sage brush-dominated desert. notes sclerocactus nyensis with lemon yellow flowers which are normally reddish to pink up to 3.5 cm long.I believe this to be the first time that a yellow flower has been seen on sclerocactus nyensis.I discovered two plants with yellow flowers May 8,2014 Tonopah, Nevada.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
