plant community Wet forests at margins of bogs, 600-1375mnotes Endemic to Kaua'i and part of the Silversword Alliance, a group of possibly 50 different species and subspecies in 3 endemic gerera (Hawaii) showing adaptive radiation from a single colonizing event. Flowering season is apparently December to April. I have only seen this species in early March, late May and August with no blooms. Note achenes, 'seeds', in photo.
