plant community Open young second-growth Douglas firnotes I took my mom on an iris-hunting road trip to Oregon where we were blessed with this gorgeous specimen. The 'white petaled' clump was located growing in a red clay bank along a logging road. Many color combos were growing about. We witnessed color variances in each floral clump, possibly due to flower age, inter-seeding, or individual plant dna.camera Canon SX20 IS
