notes Inflorescence of Eriogonum breedlovei var. breedlovei from below. Note the finely and densely glandular peduncle; the short-branched inflorescence; the slightly angled involucre lobes...with inconspicuously papery margins and acute teeth as mentioned in Moe's key. Also note the lack of a stipitate base for the perianths. This rare buckwheat was shown to me by Dennis Haines in mid-July of 2010. Using the Jepson Manual, Flora of Kern County by Twisselmann & Moe, and Jim Reveal's key...all led to E. breedlovei.photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
