  • location   Lava Beds National Monument. Near Tulelake (Siskiyou County, California, US)
  • notes   The Fleener Chimneys are a string of small spatter cones along a fault on the northern flank of the Medicine Lake Volcano. Spatter cones are formed when blobs of molten lava are ejected from a volcanic vent in the manner of a fountain. These spatter cones was formed during an eruption about 10,500 years ago. The Fleener Chimneys and nearby vents along the same fault zone were the source of the Devil's Homestead Lava Flow.
