  • notes   Endemic to the Big Island, and endangered. Of the 26 species of the Pritchardia genus, which exists only in the tropical Pacific, 23 are endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. Few wild trees exist, and like all the Pritchardia in Hawaii, this is due to development and rats.
