Psydrax odoratum is common in the kipuka's on the Pali above the SE coast of the Big Island growing with Lama (Diospyros sandwicensis), Aalii (Dodonaea viscosa), Naio (Myoporum sandwicense), Ulei (Osteomeles anthyllidifolia).
