  • notes   Range: Circumpolar. Grows in the arctic–alpine zones on rocky, sunny sites, often near animal burrows and bird cliffs. ID: Height 6–10 in (15–25 cm). Loosely tufted perennial. Erect, tall, branching stems. Leaves: Compound, with woolly-haired petioles; 3-parted leaflets, with 4–6 teeth on each side, dark green and smooth above, woolly below. Flowers: Multiple, yellow, 5-parted.
