notes Detail of stem, leaves, and cyathia of the luscious euphorb Chamaesyce serpyllifolia ssp. hirtula. The wispy hairs on the involucres and fruits distinguish subspecies hirtula. Growing in coarse sandy opening in chaparral. Curiously, the JM2 treatment does not list this taxon as occuring in Monterey County...even though there are numerous records of it there on this California Consortium of Herbaria web page photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
