notes This photo was taken while exploring the 50-hectare reserve known as Nahampoana Reserve in far southern Madagascar near Ft. Dauphin. The guide lured the animals to us using bananas, but they are free to roam about the large area. These sifakas are also known as 'dancing lemurs,' and are incredibly agile. These lemurs have thicker fur and seem much healthier than those found in the deserts to the west.keywords: Lemur
