North of Mrzli Vrh hill, 590 m (1.936 feet), near village Kozaršèe (Tolminsko, Slovenia)notes Slo.: zbledela èrnivka - Habitat: Northwest inclined, moderately steep slope of a low mountain, mixed forest with predominant Picea abies, washed-out probably acid forest soil, calcareous ground, shade, protected from direct rain by three canopies, average precipitations ~ 2.300 mm/year, average temperature 10-12 deg C, elevations 340 m (1.100 feet), border between alpine, subalpine and submediterranean phytogeographical region. - Substratum: soil among rotten wood debris and roots. - Comment: Determination not certain. Growing in a small group of 6-7 fungi. Taste and smell pleasant and indistinctively 'mushroomy'.
