notes Flower and bud of Antirrhinum cyathiferum. The herbage is very glandular hairy. Corolla was approximately 1 cm long. This is the only specimen of this species I (have ever) found. It was growing in a relatively shaded nook at the end of a side canyonette. This species is considered rare in California. The CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants states it is ''Known in CA only from the Deep Cyn. area''. So this record constitutes a slight range extension in (Alta) CA , as the Orocopia Mnts locale here is about 45 miles due east of Deep Canyon (which is on the north side of the Santa Rosa Mnts). Apparently this species can be plentiful in Baja California Sur, as related by Debra Valov in her comments with this CalPhotos post from the Mulege region. photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
