Vrsnik valley, above the road to Planina Na skali, near Avèin's house, East Julian Alps (Posoèje, Slovenia)notes Slo.: pozni zgrušèevec - Habitat: extensively used grassland, north-east oriented moderate slope, sunny place, however little if any sun during winter months, calcareous ground, exposed to direct rain, average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 7-9 deg C, elevation 630 m (2.100 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: heavily rotten and moss overgrown stump of a large hardwood tree. - Comments: several fruitbodies; smell almost none, flesh flexible, SP white. Spores: smooth, sausage shaped, thin; dimensions 4.8 (SD = 0.3) x 1.3 (SD = 0.1) micr., Q = 3.79 (SD = 0.32), n = 30.
