notes This exceptionally tiny fungus parasitizes the fruiting bodies of myxomycetes - the slime molds. It occurs almost always on members of the order Trichales. It is shown here attacking the sporangia of a Metatrichia species. The largest of these fungi is only about 1 mm.camera Canon 40D, MP-E 65mm macro, f/16, 0.3 sec.
