habitat intertidalnotes Several species of anemone bury most of the polyp in sand or gravel, leaving only the tentacles exposed, but the Giant Green Anemone isn't one of them. Sometimes, storms along the coast will kick up and redeposit sand, gravel and other detritis, burying intertidal inhabitants, which is what happened here.camera Canon EOS Digital Rebel, 100mm macro, f/10, 1/25 sec.
