notes Three morphed individuals were found along a Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) embellished stream during leisurely 30-minute hike. The D. tenebrosus were found in early October when most salamanders are deeply hidden in burrows and logs. Considering D. tenebrosus can attain generous size, all three specimens were relatively small with the largest measuring 85 mm (3¼ in.) SVL and 145 mm (5¾ in.) TL.photo category: Animal - Amphibian
