Near Lee Vining (Mono County, California, US)notes Lateral moraine extending from the mouth of Lee Vining Canyon. The moraine was deposited during late Tahoe Stage glaciation, about 50,000 to 100,000 years ago. This moraine terminated abruptly where the Lee Vining Glacier reached the edge of Lake Russell, the huge lake that filled much of this basin at the end of the Pleistocene. The north flank is Mt.
