notes Slo.: Leutejeva širokolistna moèvirnica - Habitat: West inclined scree slope, grassy vegetation, bushes and some small Picea abies and Pinus.sp, limestone, fairly dry place with little sun, average precipitations ~ 3.000 mm/year, average temperature 7-9 deg C, elevations 590 m (1,950 feet), alpine phytogeographical region. - Substratum: very shallow and well drained soil on scree. - Comment: Growing solitary among other Epipactis species. Taxonomic status of this species is not yet clear. Some authors consider it as a subspecies of Epipactis helleborine group, other consider it as equivalent to Epipactis leptochilla ssp. neglecta. - Enlisted in the Slovene Red List of rare and endangered species, marked by 'R' representing a rare species. - Ref.: (1) Personal communication with Mr. Branko Dolinar, http://www.orhideje.si/ (2) A.
