Along Drum Powerhouse Rd. Near Dutch Flat (Placer County, California, US)notes Antigorite is one of several chemically similar substances, considered collectively as 'Serpentine.' This seam is exposed at an outcrop of Serpentinite. This particular unit, part of the Feather River Terrane, was formed in Triassic time, about 220 million years ago.
