  • date of photo  Jun 6, 2009
  • location   Bryce Canyon National Park: On road cut within 1/10 mile, and southwest of, Swamp Canyon overlook (Garfield County, Utah, US)
  • family Linaceae
  • notes   Inflorescences; these were part of a population of evidently seeded flax on the road cut. The consistently dark blue color of the petals was different than any of the wild specimens I saw at Bryce, leading me to believe that these seeds were obtained from a source outside the park. Elevation ca. 8,100 feet. 10:32 am.
