notes I find this the most beautiful of the native California Salvias. From previous inquiries, I had gotten the impression it was virtually ungrowable horticulturally. However, I was recently informed that Las Pilitas nursery (northeaast of San Luis Obispo) has a plant that's been doing fine for three years and is about to flower.camera Shot on a Canon D60 at f8, 1/160, ISO 100 using a Canon 50mm macro lens.
