  • notes   Slo.: rožmarinolistna vrba - Comment: Salix rosmarinifolia is the only one among 26 Salix taxons (bastards not taken into account) growing in Slovenia which is protected by law. It is also the only one dwarf Salix which doesn't grow in high mountains but in lowland wet grassland and marches. Enlisted in the Slovene Red List of rare and endangered species, marked by 'V' representing a vulnerable species. Habitat: Wet grassland, full sun, precipitations 1.300-1.400 mm/year, average temperature 8-10 deg C, elevation 490 m (1.600 feet), Pre-Dinaric phytogeographical region.
