  • location   Approximately 2 miles east of San Benito, along NE base of Buck Ridge, Diablo Range (San Benito County, California, US)
  • family Polygonaceae
  • notes   Habitat of Eriogonum ordii, growing on steep, barren-looking, cracked-mud bank and on the immediately adjacent flats. Part of an very localized population of many hundred plants. This is said to be fairly typical habitat for this species.
  • camera   Shot with a Canon Digital Rebel XT at f8, 1/80, ISO 400 using a Canon 50mm compact macro lens.
