  • notes   Habit and habitat of the small tree Psorothamnus spinosus, also known as 'Smoke Bush'. Usually this plant is seen as a leafless, gray-green, densely twiggy tangle of spiny branches, growing in dry desert washes. But when in flower it's a dazzlingly colorful mass of deep blue-purple delight.
