  • family Montiaceae
  • notes   Habit of two plants with strikingly different flower color (white and rose-red). I think the old name for these would be ''Lewisia sierrae'', due to the lack of glandular teeth on the sepals (not visible in photo!) But L. sierrae has been synonymized with L. pygmaea.
  • camera   Shot on a Canon Digital Rebel XT at f13, 1/80, ISO 100, using a Canon 50mm Compact macro lens.
