Asteraceae
notes Habitat and habit of Brickellia incana (the pale green shrub at center of image). This was the first time I had encountered this species. The next day I saw another specimen 20 miles away whose flowers looked somewhat different, and which I've posted photos of here at CalPhotos.camera Shot on a Canon Digital Rebel XT at f16, 1/80 , ISO 100, using a Canon 50mm Compact macro lens.
