  • notes   Detail of two flowers. The flower on the left is seen from back, the one on the right from the front. Note the long single lobed calyx lip on the back and the shorter 4-lobed calyx lip on the front. Another photo posted here shows the calyx pulled down, revealing more of the flower. There were thousands of these beauties with they're glandular hairs glistening in the pebbly openings of the pinyon woodland.
