notes A cluster of 5 or 6 aging Boschniakia. Notice how the ovaries grow and eventually burst the dried corolla base. Old white anthers are still visible. This is a parasitic plant. I didn't want to dig up the root to determine the host with certainty, but it was growing among manzanitas.camera Shot on a Canon Digital Rebel XT at f16, 1/60, ISO 100 using a 50mm Canon Compact macro lens.
