notes These gulls have learned to take advantage of the huge concentrations of Brine Flies (Ephydra hians) lining the shore of Mono Lake. This gull repeatedly put its head close to the ground, opened its bill and ran quickly into the cloud of flies to gather a mouthful.camera Canon 20D, 420mm, f/8, 1/1250 sec.
