  • notes   Now Gamochaeta ustulata, re Flora of North America. Jeps Man II key says basal leaf tufts not present at flowering, but that looks like a rosette to me. However, Tom Chester says 'basal leaf tufts' in the key refers to young shoots for the next year, in perennial species anyway.
