INFORMATION PROVIDED WITH THE PHOTO
  • date of photo  May 2, 2008
  • this photo depicts an animal that was captive or collected
  • photo location   Eloy Valenzuela Botanical Garden
  • animal's place of origin   Floridablanca, Santader, Colombia (Colombia)
  • family Aromobatidae
  • order Anura
  • class Amphibia
  • habitat  Over Bamboo Leaves, next to a highly polluted stream (10:00pm)
  • notes   Another specimen was found in the same area, though it had a mutation on the hind right leg, it is very probable that this is actually due to water pollution, it was very sad to see this tiny frog jumping in this condition. I'm trying to develop an educational program teaching people about living creatures and how pollution affect them and us, this is to help to avoid this situation in the future
