notes There are only two desert Agave species listed in the Jepson Manual. This plant keys to Agave deserti and agrees with the description except in having red flowers in place of yellow flowers. It was the only red-flowered Agave deserti I've ever seen.camera Shot on a Canon D60 at f14, 1/250, ISO 100 with a Canon 50mm Compact macro lens.
