plant community Shaded open forest on sloped road edges where moist in Springnotes This bulb flowered three years in a row and completely rested the following 2007 season (did not put forth a stem the fourth year). Soil angular rock in a volcanic powder. Aquilegia formosa and Douglas fir components. Originally from near Bear Springs Ranger Station, OR. Lilium columbianum grows along the stream drainages while LIWA grows in the drier upper slopes.camera Kodak ES Z760
