  • notes   Inflorescence of Asclepias solanoana---a rare milkweed with a very prostrate habit (unusual for the genus) growing on serpentine talus/scree in the inner north Coast Ranges. I identified the grasshopper (Order Orthoptera) to family Acrididae (to the best of my current abilities!) May be a member of the subfamily Oedopodinae ('Band-Winged Grasshoppers') but I'm not certain of that.
