notes Comment: This find could be either Astragalus leontinus or among known Slovenian Astragalus species either Astragalus carniolicus or Astragalus alpinus. However, the observed morphological traits and/or habitat do not correspond well to none of them. Astragalus leontinus has not been found yet in Slovenia (Ref.: 1) (with an exception of a single old reference from Italian source). It is also absent from neighboring region Friuli Venezia Giulia in Italy (Ref.: 2). Flowers of Astragalus carniolicus should have twice as long banner as alae (Ref.: 1), which is evidently not the case with this find. In addition, the number of flowers in the inflorescence is too big for it. Astragalus alpinus is known in Slovenia only from alpine elevations in the Alpine phytogeographical region of the country (Ref.: 3), which is also not the case for this find.
