  • notes   Acamptopappus sphaerocephalus in full bloom. It's also attractive in late bloom and in fruit. The plants with reddish flowers at the upper left are Nicolletia occidentalis ('Hole-in-the-Sand Plant') and the small plant with pinkish-white flowers tucked beneath the Acamptopappus at lower center is Loeseliastrum mathewsii ('Desert Calico').
