Note that the hooked bristles are restricted to the tips of the four nutlets, while the proximal margins of the nutlets lack teeth or bristles. The proximal margins also have a relatively thick band of scarious tissue (which looks somewhat like tightly matted white hairs).camera Shot at f5.6, 1/160 on a Canon Digital Rebel XT w/ a Canon Compact 50mm macro lens.
