Action: changed name from "Acer rubrum" to "Acer X freemanii "

    Reviewer's comments:
"Hybrid A. rubrum X A. saccharinum. Leaf too deeply lobed for pure A. rubrum."

    Reviewer's comments:
"I'm going to back up Michael Frankis. I have one of these in my landscape. The leaves look like a Silver Maple. The bark, Red. The fall color is like that of the Red Maple. It is a hybrid. One of my favorites because I love the Silver's serration and the Red's fall color."
