  • notes   Trillium ovatum is one of three plant species protected by law in British Columbia. It is illegal to pick, transplant or harm this species in any way, whether in the wild or private garden. An extract of the root of this species was used by B.C. First Nations as an eye medicine. This is not a thriving species in B.C. due to development of the natural woodland habitat.
