notes This plant was photographed during a Jepson Herbarium Workshop to the Convict Lake area, where it was referred to as T. maritima. There seems to be disagreement regarding the names Triglochin maritima vs. Triglochin maritimum. Both names appear to be accepted by ITIS, but the Jepson Manual only lists T. maritima. I'm not sure whether these are supposed to be names for distinct taxons. ITIS also lists T. maritimum as its accepted name for the (un-ITIS-accepted) synonym 'T. concinnum var. debile (M.E. Jones) J.T. Howell' (presumably a spelling variant of the name 'T. concinna var. debilis (M.E. Jones) J.T. Howell' appearing in the Jepson Manual). There are 10 other photos posted on CalPhotos that have had their specific epithets changed from T. maritima to T. maritimum by reviewer D. Jacobsdottir. However, such a change breaks the link from the CalPhotos 'More Information' page to the online Jepson Manual page for T. maritima, so I'm posting this as T. maritima.camera Shot on a Canon Digital Rebel XT at f8, 1/400, ISO 100, with a Canon 50mm Compact macro lens.
