  • date of photo  Jul 28, 2005
  • location   Pioneer Basin, John Muir Wilderness (Fresno County, California, US)
  • family Cyperaceae
  • notes   Inflorescence image. This seemed to key well to Carex scopulorum var bracteosa (using Botti's 'Flora of Yosemite National Park' and the Jepson Manual). But I didn't have mature perigynia and I'm a novice in keying Carex. If anyone has a good reason to believe that this is, or is not C. scopulorum, I'd be happpy to know.
