notes Habit image in moist soil adjacent to lakeshore. This seemed to key well to Carex scopulorum var bracteosa (using Botti's 'Flora of Yosemite National Park' and the Jepson Manual). But I didn't have mature perigynia and I'm a novice in keying Carex. If anyone has a good reason to believe that this is, or is not C. scopulorum, I'd be happpy to know.camera Shot at f5, 1/250 on a Canon Digital Rebel XT with a 50mm Canon Compact macros lens.
photo category: Plant - annual/perennial
