  • date of photo  Jul 12, 2003
  • location   shallow water near South Shore of Cedar Lake, tributary lake of South Fork, Sacramento River (Siskiyou County, California, US)
  • family Menyanthaceae
  • plant community   shallow mountain lakes and marshes
  • notes   I had to wade out into the water up to my thighs for this one, sunk up to my knees in the silt on the lake bottom, but it was worth it! This photo was taken on a field trip with Dr. Kenneth Beatty, professor at the College of the Siskiyous. He identified the plant for me. Thanks Dr. Beatty!
