| Reviewer's comments: | | | "Festuca arundinacea has ligules only 0.5 to 1 mm long, but the plant depicted here has VERY long ligules. Festuca arundinacea has conspicuous auricles, not evident in this plant. Also, the spikelets look shorter and rounder than in typical Festuca arundinacea, and the inflorescence is less spreading than in typical Festuca arundinacea." |
