         "The pictured plant disagrees with the id of Euthamia occidentalis for both the infl and the leaves. E. occidentalis has "heads small, in clusters at branch tips" according to the Jepson key #40, for Asteraceae, Group 13, on page 188. The goldenrod in this picture has heads all along each flower stem. E. occidentalis has "LVS: linear-lanceolate, 3-5-veined", and the
