Action: changed name from "Taricha granulosa" to "Taricha rivularis "

    Reviewer's comments:
"Coloration of the newt is indicative of the Red-bellied Newt (Taricha rivularis). The eyes also protude past the jaw line. Van Damme State Park is within the range of the newt as well."

    2. Reviewed by Nick Waters    Mar 29, 2009

Action: changed name from "Taricha rivularis" to "Taricha granulosa "

    Reviewer's comments:
"Reviewed original notes. The photographer appears to have over enhanced the colors to the point the dorsum appears black and the venter a deep reddish orange. I agree with the original diagnosis, but recommend the photo be taken down due to apparent color enhancement."
