  • notes   This photograph was taken at small artificial reservoir in Vladivostok suburb. Small population of Nelumbo nucifera growing here originated from wild plants captured in natural habitat in another place in Primorsky Territory (Khanka Lake or southern part of Khasansky district probably)several year ago. Some of Russian botanists treated Nelumbo nucifera in the Russian Far East as a separate species Nelumbo komarowi Grossh. 1940 (see book 'Vascular Plants of the soviet Far East [Plantae Vasculares Orientis Extremi Sovietici], vol. 2, p. 29 (Nauka, Leningrad, 1987)
