plant community Dark mesic and wet forests, wet stream walls, rocks and mossy tree trunksnotes Endemic to Hawaiian Islands. Note flaring tips on cone-shaped indusia. Niaulani is a small preserved rain forest within Volcano Village and administered by the Volcano Art Center. A short trail leads through a diverse forest of old Ohia and Koa trees with large Cibotium tree ferns of 3 species. Numerous other native wet forest species exist here.camera Olympus Stylus 790 SW
